The core task of heat treatment is to change the internal metallographic structure of steel through heating quenching tempering, endowing the batch head with hardness, wear resistance, and impact toughness, which is the core process that determines the service life of the batch head.
Main process: Cleaning and degreasing → High temperature heating austenitization → Quenching and rapid cooling to harden → Tempering to eliminate internal stress and prevent brittle fracture of the batch head, followed by cleaning and removal of oxide scale.
Process objective: The working surface of the batch head should achieve HRC58-62 hardness, which is wear-resistant and not easy to grind and slip, while retaining the toughness of the core. It will not directly break or cut during operation.
Testing: Rockwell hardness sampling and observation of deformation and cracking; Poor heat treatment can lead to defects such as tooth breakage, slipping, and twisting.
Output: The reinforced finished blank is sent to the next surface treatment process such as sandblasting and electroplating.
